Learn to program a PIC Micro-Controller in Four Hours

The SARL 2010 PIC Programming Course has been
completely revised and updated

Ideal  as a refesher course

Great for newcomers to PIC programming

Learn how to work with Microchip PIC’s, how to programme them and use them in Amateur Radio and other projects

The 4 hour course  is presented by John Williscroft ZS6EF using novel audiovisual methods.  At the end of the course you will be able to work with PIC’s and programme them for other projects. (Plus one hour question time and refreshment break)

MORE ABOUT THE COURSE
The course does not go to the depths of explaining Cmos or what a resistor does. We appreciate that we are talking to electronic technicians with a good practical back ground who have never had the opportunity to get started on micro controllers.

Without messing around we deal directly with the micro controller explaining how it works and then specifically how to make it work for you.

This course is a practical course and to make sure all our participants go home being able to program we have a learning pcb which we explore in detail, we also provide a choice of 2 project pcb and the firmware which we discuss.

In addition we give you a micro a 12F629 with firmware examples you can change and see the actions of the chip.

Normally a 3 or 4 day course is heavy into procedures, we avoid this, and we have designed an one sheet assembler file that you can use for any project.

We want to make sure  that you  understand the mechanisms that are used in the micro, before you go to further courses or use a C compiler or Basic Compiler.

We believe that this is the course is the missing gap between starting and going to an advance stage. After the course you will be able to handle many complex projects. In 4 hours we will have you up and running without a fuss

Thanks to Microchip for their generous sponsorship
